Dr. Ghiath Tayeb is a board-certified gastroenterologist and the founder and senior partner of Tayeb Gastroenterology & Associates. Dr. Tayeb earned his Doctor of Medicine from Damascus University School of Medicine in Damascus, Syria, in 1988. He then completed his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, IL. With a strong academic foundation and a passion for continuous learning, Dr. Tayeb also serves as a member of the clinical faculty at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine where he helps train and mentor the next generation of physicians.
With decades of experience, Dr. Tayeb specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, including conditions affecting the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas. He performs advanced procedures, such as colonoscopy, endoscopy (EGD), and capsule endoscopy, at the Rochester Endoscopy and Surgery Center and Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital. Dr. Tayeb is committed to delivering expert care with a focus on patient comfort, education, and achieving the best possible outcomes.
The PAs are excellent, knowledgeable, attentive, and truly take the time to listen and explain everything clearly. They make me feel comfortable discussing my symptoms and helped create a plan that finally feels right for me.
I just seen a NP here, and both her AND the front desk were awesome. Need an upper scope and there was bookings 6 months out. Staff problem solved and ill be in in two weeks.I see all these bad reviews and personally, I've only had good drs and tests here thus far. Hmmm? Maybe they changed the front desk? I have no idea! But it was good service

The doctor was extremely knowledgeable, took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, and explained everything clearly and thoroughly. I never felt rushed and felt confident in the care and treatment plan provided.The staff was just as impressive—friendly, professional, and very helpful from check-in to check-out. Appointments were well organized, and everyone made me feel comfortable and respected. It’s rare to find a medical office where both the doctor and the staff are this attentive and caring. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a great GI doctor.
